Andrea Zittel: Sufficient Self
Produced on the occasion of Andrea Zittel’s inclusion in the 2004 Whitney Biennial, this short film examines her choice to move to the Mojave desert in 1999, where she currently resides, and the integration of habitat into her artistic practice. By viewing her work at a single site, Zittel believes it has a more potent and comprehensive effect, responding to the context of a small familiar community.
